ABOUT OUR CHURCH

Zion is a small country church that has been on the corner of Conant and Zion Church Roads since its founding in 1874. We are currently experiencing a revival in numbers and a renewal of our spiritual faith. We are growing as a church and we invite you to join us.

We have a newly formed UMM's group and a revitalized UMW's group as well as a Mission Team that is very active. A Handbell Choir and a Vocal Choir have formed.

Isaiah 2:3
People from many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of Jacob’s God. There he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the Lord’s teaching will go out from Zion; his word will go out from Jerusalem.

PASTOR DAVID HOWELL

Pastor Howell is known to many in the area since he grew up in Spencerville and served as pastor of Delphos Trinity for 18 years. Upon retiring from Delphos, he was appointed to his two little country retirement churches: Kossuth Zion and Elida Zion. Pastor also is available for funerals and is often called upon to minister to families in the area who need a pastor upon the death of a family member. While serving in Delphos, he felt a call to reach out to the entire community and was instrumental in the formation of Delphos Community Unity, a group that offered a free weekly community meal (Suppers On Us) and a quarterly food pantry (Free Food On Us). Now Pastor Dave has answered the call to shepherd two small flocks in Kossuth and rural Elida.
